Mi smart speaker practical review: worth or Not

We are goind to do practical review of Mi Smart Speaker.
Xiaomi recently launch many products including MI 5 band and Mi smart speaker. Today we are going to review Mi smart speaker and provide our conclusion whether it is worth or not buying it.

Firstly, smart speakers becomes necessity due to many other IoT devices like smart bulb, smart switches etc. and it will make task easier in many cases.

There are lots of smart speakers available in the market, two big players are Google home and Amazon smart speakers including echo dot so how Mi smart speaker differs or is it exceed somewhere?

I have been using the Mi Smart Speaker for a few days now and I love the sound quality it pretty clear with sufficient bass. Is there anything else’s which can be praised about this speaker and what are the areas where improvement is required ?

First thing this smart speaker comes at an aggressive price point of Rs 3,999 what more interesting is Xiaomi drops the price of the Mi Smart Speaker to Rs 2,999 during festive season sale. At this price nobody wants to miss the deal.

Design of Mi Smart Speaker

Coming to the design, design is much appealing. The Mi Smart Speaker comes with a warm matte stone black finish with 0.7mm metal casing which feels sturdy. The speaker is very well built and can be placed anywhere. There are finger touch control keys on the top of the Mi Smart Speaker including volume up and down, mic and forward option though you can perform these task by just asking OK Google.

One thing that differs it from Google or Amazon is its outer body instead of premium cloth design Xiaomi chooses metal case with 10531 holes for better sound. At the front bottom side of the speaker there’s the Mi brand logo. Overall, the design have a premium touch and is extremely easy to use as well.

Connection

Connecting the Mi Smart Speaker is very easy. It can be connected using wifi at home or even using mobile hotpot. It can also be connected using phone bluetooth. You can also connect the speaker using your phone’s Bluetooth.

Sound quality of Mi Smart Speaker

The sound quality is crisp, clear and loud. The 12W speaker with 63.5mm massive sound driver produce great sound.

Though, I feel there were some troubles when asking it on full volume.

I test commands in English as well as in hindi and it works fine.

Is it worth to buy Mi Smart Speaker?

If you want a smart speaker then yes you did not get a deal like this. But wait do you really want a smart speaker in my opinion you should only buy smart speaker if you have some smart devices to control otherwise for entertainment purpose you will get bored after some time. Isn’t it?
